I am a senior HR professional with experience in PSU, big MNCs, and Indian companies.  My professional journey started with NTPC as an Executive Trainee.  Here I was groomed into a high performing officer under the mentorship of some very seasoned and successful HR professionals.  My keen desire to excel took me to Siemens (middle level & regional role) then to Lucent Technologies (senior level and pan India role) then to HFCL and Polaris as Vice President HR.  My most challenging assignment came with an offer from Nortel Networks when I was offered the role of Director Asia Pacific which 6 months down the line was expanded to the Asia Pacific and Greater China (APAC), a region comprising of 16 countries.  In 2007, I was identified as a high potential HR resource and, as a part of succession planning, I was relocated to Singapore to support 3 businesses in the APAC region.  During my years with Nortel, I have supported businesses in 16 countries, with varying complexities and revenue size of more than USD 1.4 billion.  I moved back to India from Singapore in 2010 and, took a challenging assignment with HGS (then Hinduja Global Solutions Ltd) as an Executive Vice President. It was a global role and I was responsible for Merger & Acquisitions, Global Expansion and New Initiatives. This role was very exciting as it provided me with an opportunity to understand the core business, valuations methodologies, creating contracts, dealing with different cultures, handling integration & change management, and a very different set of HR challenges at a global level. I also led Corporate Communications at a global level and spearheaded the HGS rebranding exercise. I also learned the ropes of business by managing the P&L of a couple of businesses.
