Mr. Bansal started with describing his journey from the world of Finance and into Business. He believes he never limited himself to learning one specific subject. While making this transition, his knowledge in numbers and Finance led him from reporting numbers to managing those numbers. 

Mr. Bansal explained his venture Corning India to be a platform that offers career choices to youngsters. It is leading innovators into material sciences. Corning provides a unique combination of material and process innovation. Corning is also the lead producer of emission control products of the Indian Automotive Industry. 

Mr. Garg and  Mr. Bansal discussed the lives of Indian expatriates into different countries. They also compared the benefits of staying in one company and switching companies and maintaining a healthy work life balance.

Amit Bansal was appointed managing director, Corning India, in November 2016. Bansal has management responsibility and oversight for the Corning International and Optical Communication business in India. Bansal is responsible for driving synergy across the various commercial organizations to grow Corning’s business in India. He is a director on Corning Finolex JV Board and also leads the responsibility for Corning’s Government Affairs efforts in India. Amit Bansal was appointed president, Corning India Technologies in October 2012. Bansal i responsible for Corning’s success in India with a specific focus on growing Corning’s non-Telecom businesses in India. Bansal joined Corning in 2009 as a part of the Axygen acquisition. He was appointed business director for Axygen in November 2010. His responsibilities included leading the operations for the Axygen business, product line management, business development, and manufacturing. Bansal was appointed chief financial officer of Axygen in January 2003, where he was responsible for the worldwide financial and accounting function. He also managed and led multiple acquisitions worldwide along with integrating them into Axygen. Additionally, he played a key role in raising capital for multiple acquisition transactions and debt syndications. Bansal joined Axygen in 1998 as an accountant and was appointed as the controller in 2002. Before joining Axygen, he had a private practice as a chartered accountant in India. Bansal holds a Chartered Accountant (India) certification and a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting.
