04:06- What are some of the biggest challenges that you have faced in running a not-for-profit organisation focused on mental health?
- Addressing mental health on a global scale faces the challenge of meeting an overwhelming demand for support and services.
- The major obstacle lies in the limited accessibility to mental health resources, as highlighted by a WHO report stating that mental health is neglected by most communities and health systems.
- However, there is potential for a mental health revolution, driven by advancements in technologies and neuroscience, similar to the transformative progress seen in physical health over the past decades.
11:19- What was your experience of the impact of the pandemic on mental health challenges with a lot of people?
- COVID was one of those moments where just the level of understanding and awareness came through, particularly for workplaces.
- Workplace well-being went from being nice to having to be a complete, must-have expectation.
- The recognition of the connection between mental health, productivity, and creativity became more pronounced, prompting a significant shift in how companies prioritize and address the well-being of their employees.
