01:04- About his journey

  • I started off with two degrees an engineering degree from BITS Pilani and then a management degree from Jamnalal Bajaj.
  • My professional journey is in four parts. First was as a corporate executive. Another part was as an entrepreneur. The third is an investor. Now you could say I’m in the fourth leg which is investing with purpose.

08:27- How do you define the word “Mentor Fund”?

  • There is native entrepreneurial ability but there are no examples of scale in the sector.
  • All of us who have founded this venture has run large global-level businesses.
  • We’ve also been investors, and mentors to startups. 

11:09- What do you look for before making an investment?

  • We look at the quality of the entrepreneur.  are they really purposeful, and impactful?
  • One or two native skills in addition to this purpose.
  • You overlay that with they would have done something substantial in an earlier avatar. 

22:53- Three lessons

  • Find a purpose and latch on to it.
  • There is no limit to what you can achieve if you don’t mind who takes the credit.
  • Life is not a zero-sum game.
