[03:27] – What motivated you to spend your holiday volunteering to build the genocide memorial in Rwanda?
- My motivation stemmed from two main factors.
- Firstly, my long standing connection with the founders of Aegis Trust, whom I considered to be genuinely good people deserving of support.
- Secondly, witnessing the scale of the project in Rwanda, coupled with the urgency of completing it within a short timeframe, prompted me to offer my assistance.

- The aftermath of the genocide in Rwanda was devastating, with unimaginable loss and trauma affecting the entire nation.
- However, Rwanda has made remarkable progress in its recovery efforts, focusing on reconciliation, forgiveness, and rebuilding.
- Survivors and perpetrators alike have shown extraordinary resilience and courage in coming together to heal and rebuild their communities.
