[06:59] – What do you mean by CORE being a social experiment?
- I come from a non-healthcare background. Having studied sociology, I look at the world with that lens.
- When I looked at healthcare, I found the social relationships and the mechanism by which people were dealing with each other was totally twisted.
- I found that only one person (the doctor) has a voice while everybody else has a very muted voice.
- With due respect to the doctors, the other players in the system also ought to have a voice.
- I wanted to break down the hierarchy system.
- We disrupted that by bringing in a system of no hierarchy.
- Another problem in healthcare is transparency and we worked to bring in that.
[15:40] – How are you looking at all upcoming technologies for diagnostics?
- Machine learning and AI are not new. It’s the buzz right now.
- AI can help bring the knowledge of the expert to the non expert, or to the less expert.
- Another thing it can do is some amount of standardization.
