07:28- How do you think technology is reshaping the way advertisers interact with audiences?

  • The first is the number of channels that advertisers need to consider when they’re thinking about interacting with their customers or client consumers given the availability of so many ways of interacting with customers.
  • A lot of marketers have fallen into the trap of thinking that they must utilise all the platforms despite not having the resources to do so.
  • Yet data is now allowing people to get a much better idea of which of those channels are the most productive.

10:50- What are the marketing challenges agencies like yours face, to address multiple cultures?

  • Globally, or regionally, one thing to do is to try and get to what is the core of being a human being and get people to respond to the things that we share, our human commonality. 
  • The other direction is to target individual cultures with messaging that is specifically customised to those cultures. 
  • But there is no middle ground, there is no tokenism in between. It’s either one or the other.
