00:33- About David Heacock

06:11- What in your view are some of the misconceptions consumers have about air filters and indoor air quality?
- Historically, people have viewed air filters as tools to protect HVAC systems rather than to filter the air, but COVID has shifted that perspective.
- Many competitors in the U.S. still sell low MERV-rated filters that protect systems but fail to effectively remove particles from the air.
- A lingering misconception is that high MERV-rated filters, like MERV 13, block airflow and strain HVAC systems, but modern MERV 13 media has advanced significantly, ensuring effective filtration without causing such issues.
19:02- What are three lessons you would want our viewers and listeners to take away from your journey and your successes?
- My biggest successes have come from staying focused, while my biggest mistakes have stemmed from losing focus.
- We tend to overestimate what we can achieve in a year and underestimate what we can accomplish in a decade; patience and commitment to the long-term journey are crucial.
- Recognizing our weaknesses, being self-aware, and setting up systems or accountability partners to address them are vital for personal and professional growth
