Mr. Hester Chew CEO Hester has over 35 years of experience in the QSR & FMCG sectors, operating in South East Asia. He’s currently CEO of McDonald’s Thailand, a position that he held since 2006. A strong advocate on building of teams, Mc Thai has been recognised by Aon Hewitt as “Best Employers” in 2011, 2015 & 2016; “Best of the Best Employers” in 2013 & 2017, as well as “Top Companies for Leaders” in 2014.
Prior to that he held various senior positions with Tricon, operating KFC, Pizza Hut & Taco Bell in Singapore, Thailand & Indochina. Hester’s held the GM/MD position for 13 years from 1988 to 2001. He had been Independent Director of Major PLC, Oishi PLC & EPCO PLC is the past. An active member of the Young Presidents’ Organization & has been past Regional Chair for YPO SEA from 2009-2011 & YPO Gold SEA from 2016-2018. Hester was also the recipient of YPO’s highest award this year, the YPO Hickok Distinguished Service Award 2019.
He studies in St Joseph’s Institution in Singapore & also attended the Executive MBA
program in Michigan University.
