Overview

Quantum computing is a rapidly-emerging technology that harnesses the laws of quantum mechanics to solve problems too complex for classical computers.

02:14- What were two or three inflection points that made you who you are today?

  • I am still in the development phase, I am still working on it.
  • Since childhood, I am constantly trying to give my best at everything along with my friends, mates, and my family.
  • In college, I was interested in every subject but mathematics and physics were my strengths and passion.
  • I decided to study engineering instead of physics. At that time, the content was exchanged through video assets or videotapes. Now they are exchanged through fiber optics, satellites, and the internet.
  • I was invited to think about a new career at Universidad de Montevideo. I started working on telematics engineering which tries to cover all the aspects of information communication technology.

10:57- Some advice for the students

  • Being a volunteer at IEEE was very important in my career.
  • IEEE is the trusted voice for engineering, computing, and technology information around the globe.
  • It is a network of professionals and students that plays a very vital role in networking, standard development, and conferences related to all aspects of technology.
  •  I started attending an International Conference to present our work and that was a milestone.
  • It gave me knowledge and experience on how to expand our international network.
