00:44- About Carlos Hernandez
- Carlos Hernandez is the CEO of Pellas Development Group.
- He is an International Real Estate Professional, and he has created some unique concepts of luxury hotels.
- He has an education at Northwestern University- Kellogg School of Management.
01:40- What kind of stories do you tell people?
- It took me several years to understand that it takes a lot of experience to have the maturity to figure out exactly who you are, and feel comfortable in your own skin. And that’s probably the same story with every young, ambitious professional out there.
- And I ended up figuring out that I was a storyteller in the sense that the things I do, which are to inspire people to believe in visions did not exist yet.
- Over the years, I became an expert in developing destinations, and resorts in locations where none exist. It required vision, but it also required the ability to tell a story.
- Human beings are easily inspired if you tell them what you think, in the way of a story.
13:45- It doesn’t really matter if, at the beginning of your career, you do not know what you want to do
- The first intention was that have built an experience as a construction manager in a construction company. But that really is not development.
- Development is the business side of the real estate environment. I needed a business education, so I went and did a master’s in finance in Florida.
- I got a break with a group of real estate developers in Miami, also from Mexico, that hire me because of my background in construction management of hotels.
31:16- What does success mean to you?
- Success is being able to look into the eyes of my family and children and feel content and fulfilled.
