06:35- How do you define regenerative investment?
- It’s probably easier to understand regenerative in relation to three other paradigms.
- So, the first paradigm is what we call value returns, which is how our traditional business and society works.
- The next paradigm, which is called a rest order. And that’s where we see commitments being made.
- So the next paradigm is what we call doing good. And there’s lots of really amazing good hearted people on the planet seeking to do good.
11:38- Is regenerative investing a much larger vision?
- When we invest in, say, in a hotel, or a real estate project that is regenerative, we see the new emergence of these concepts of placemaking.
- So, it’s where the asset itself is nested within a community or place or region.
- And before you even put pen to paper for the design, you start working with the community.
16:37- Does a large amount of the money come from a family office for these regenerative investments?
- Only our family offices focus on that.
- And what we do is we grow the assets to make sure that they’re regenerative first, we make sure that their revenue is generated, we grow them to Series A.
- And that we open it up to co-investment for other family offices. In a general regenerative transition project.
