With a widespread experience in both the leading institutions of India, Venkatesh is extremely knowledgeable. In conversation with our host Ashutosh, he shares his experience of working in both these institutions and gives some great insights for the youth aspiring to join IIT and IIM. As a Professor for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Venkatesh talks about the stance of entrepreneurship in India.
He explains that more and more youngsters are willing to take up entrepreneurship courses over the past few years. The students are not just focused on getting good jobs but more inclined towards getting the right guidance for startup businesses. Venkatesh believes that out of the numerous candidates that take up these programs, at least 5% end up launching their own business ventures.
Later in the conversation, Ashutosh and Venkatesh also discuss some vital factors of Indian startups. Venkatesh shares that most startups fail due to inadequate execution. They also discuss the support that the government and leading institutions can provide to entrepreneurs in the country.
