04:26- How did that migration occur from Canadian education and background to becoming a member of parliament in Portugal?
- I immigrated to Portugal during my early teens to be closer to my extended family, completing medical school in Lisbon.
- I became involved in public service during medical studies, joining the youth wing of the Social Democratic Party in Portugal.
- I was elected to parliament in 2011 during a financial crisis, serving four terms with a focus on health policy and foreign affairs, alongside roles as a deputy mayor and transitioning to academic work in global health and digital.

- Emphasize the urgent need to overhaul broken health systems in richer countries, shifting from reactive disease-focused models to proactive care strategies.
