KIN is a platform that connects social ventures with leaders who are willing to share their knowledge to help the ventures tackle specific issues. KIN runs two exchange programs: catalyze sessions and circles. Catalyze sessions are 90-minute workshops where a group of leaders works with a social venture to address a specific issue. Circles are online platforms where social innovators and individuals interested in a specific cause exchange ideas and connections to advance the cause. The goal of KIN is to unlock the power of knowledge as a sustainable asset and use it for social good.

- When I first started my career, I was not thinking about entering the social impact sector.
- It really wasn’t until I started having children that this Evolution started happening where I just started to build greater awareness about the world, the state of education, and the needs of communities.
- At that time I came across an organization called HBS Community Partners which is a program that inspires Harvard Business School alumni to provide pro bono Consulting to non-profits.
04:02- About KIN
- Our knowledge, our skills, our experiences, our insights, and our connections are all unique and Powerful assets, but at the same time, it is an intangible asset.
- Knowledge is a sustainable asset it could be recycled, repurposed, or regenerated, it has a multiplier effect and when you gift it you don’t lose it.Â
- With this concept, we created KIN which is essentially a curated exchange of knowledge for social good.
- We identify leaders who are willing to generously share their knowledge, we call them knowledge partners, and we identify social Ventures they could be for-profit or non-profit, but they have made a great impact and have the potential to do so much more, and we bring them together.
11:38- What do Knowledge Partners seek from this relationship?
- Gift of paying it forward and being able to share this knowledge that they know they have.
- It’s such a great way to learn about a new space, a new social venture.Â
- It’s a wonderful way to meet a new set of peers outside your normal networks who are joined by their interests and specific causes.
