- Normal data sets are not big. They have hundreds or thousands of records.Â
- Big data sets, in contrast, have millions or billions of records or data points.Â
- For example, Google, across its online systems and platforms, could track user interactions and behaviour and collect data on billions of data points daily.Â
- Similarly, climate data points worldwide record changing temperature, pressure, wind patterns, and other predictive models rely on big data sets.Â
