03:35- Tell me about St James and your motivation to get into Fitness.
- St James is a premium collection of destinations, events and digital experiences that help people maximize their potential human theory, the power of sports.
- It is an outgrowth of the experiences that my business partner and I had growing up in the DC areas. As kids, we were irrationally passionate about sports and wanted to play that we could.
- We believe sports have been the unappreciated paradigm for teaching and life development.
- We recognize that two high-demand problems exist in every major metropolitan city and other local areas of the United States.
- There were not enough turf ice pool courts. If there were any, they were poorly maintained and under-programmed. They were a highly fragmented marketplace.
- We concluded to aggregate the playing and training services for multiple sports into one place.
07:15- What are the advantages of sports in our life?
- Sports is one of the few places you can fail, and it does not destroy your life.
- It is an opportunity for you to experiment, take risks, treat yourself, learn how to come back, and know resiliency.
- It teaches you discipline, how to work towards goals, work with other people, and how to connect with people often from a wide range of backgrounds that may be very different from yours. It teaches you how to communicate and how to win.
- The beauty of these incidents is that they translate into other areas of your life. Eventually, most professional athletes become dads and mothers and play different roles in the relationship.
[24:25] – What three lessons do you want our viewers & listeners to take away from your journey?
- I am just like you, which means successful people are one of us.
- Work on your mindset.
- Visualization of your self-belief- Become the person you always want to be.
