  • The concept of ‘responsible luxury’ combines luxury with sustainability, ensuring that guests can enjoy high-end services while ITC manages the environmental impact. 
  • This initiative became a case study at Harvard and set a new industry standard by proving that luxury and sustainability can coexist.

  • The Indian hospitality industry has transitioned from focusing mainly on leisure and group travellers to catering predominantly to business travellers as the economy opened up in the 1990s. 
  • Today, post-pandemic, there is a shift towards “bleisure” or blended travel, where business travellers combine work with leisure.

  • Technology has transformed the hospitality industry by improving customer experience and hotel operations. 
  • Innovations like predictive staffing, guest management systems, and building management systems have revolutionised how hotels are run.

  • Take responsibility for your own success with the mantra, “If it is to be, it is up to me.”
