05:23- Tell us a little bit about people-centric leadership and what it means to you.
- You have to get to know your people – who they are, what they’re into, and what their skills are. One of my favourite ways to do that is to run personality tests.
- Sharing those results helps the team understand the differences between teammates and that they view things through their lenses.
- It’s very important to run productive one-on-one meetings and effective team meetings that are productive, where people leave knowing what they’ll be held accountable for and managed to, and then rewarded when everything works out.
17:52- What advice would you give to young women about embracing people-centric leadership in a traditionally male-dominated field?
- I would invite young women to stay curious, and go after their dreams with full force.
- If you wind up in the dream and don’t like it anymore, you have permission to change, to define the terms of your own life.
- I don’t think there are jobs for men or jobs for women. If you have the education, willingness, and work ethic, that’s what companies are looking for.
