A Personal Brand is who you are when you are not in the room. It’s not easy to build a sustainable personal brand and get people to trust you. But, it’s very necessary to build a brand people can trust if we want people to do business with us. 02:19- Can you define personal branding and why is it important in today’s world?

  • I like what Jeff Bezos says about branding. He says your brand is who you are when you are not in the room. 
  • It is about how people perceive you. It is not about the thing you are passionate about but how you act every single day.
  • The importance of a brand is that it’s the basis of all human relations. It’s why people trust you or do business with you.

07:41- How can one achieve business goals by using their personal brand?

  • I think everything comes down to trust. Your personal brand develops trust and trust is why people do business with you.
  • When people trust you they will promote you, give you more opportunities, and help you in ways you don’t expect.
  • As you grow in your career, you will be known through your personal brand and more people will come to you based on it.

16:23- At what stage should one start investing in a personal brand?

  • I think it’s never too early to start investing in a personal brand because as humans we tend to learn and change over the course of our lives.
  • As we go through our lives, our brand keeps evolving. The truth is that I’m 53 and my brand is still evolving.
  • From the age of 15–16 years, we tend to learn a lot of things at a very rapid pace, so our brand keeps evolving.
