03:51- Can you talk about some of that work you’ve done and how you got involved in them?
- I ended up doing startups that ended up being bought by big companies, and the big companies are really great at scaling them.
- I ended up in charge of new business units starting from nothing new business units at, for example, at Google, and then at Facebook.
- The challenges are fascinating for innovation and disruption.
- I was a professor at MIT.
- I just thought there weren’t enough MIT professors sleeping on the factory floors of the world.
45:00- What recommendations would you give to the audience in terms of work and career?
- If you’ve got this dream, to sort of do something, dig in on it.
- Start a company, get some funding and look to reduce the white hot risks of the number, the top five reasons it might fail.
- If you ever have a question, it’s probably worthwhile to ask.
- I just think people should be more willing to speak up, because it’s actually incredibly important that everybody understands what’s going on, certainly in their areas and their fields in their work and just ask the question.
