  • I wanted to start leveraging India’s capability.
  • I got technology from abroad and made products for the global markets. 
  • The challenge was to change the mindset of the western world about Indian quality.
  • I associated with known brands but insisted on mentioning that the product was “Made in India.”

[33:22] – What is the future of the electronics industry in India?

  • There is always a lag between policy announcements and their results.
  • We are seeing the results of the “Make In India” policy today.
  • Electronics is the biggest import built that India has.
  • The companies that were importing from elsewhere and selling in India have moved to manufacturing for Indian markets.
  • The quality and deliveries are good while keeping the prices low.
  • This has been an incentive for these companies to now export to the global markets.

  • Listen to your customer.
  • Don’t tell your customer what he needs.
  • Stay updated with the mega trends.
  • Give opportunities to the young workforce.
