It involves not only focusing on end goals but also on the means used to achieve them, with an emphasis on ethical values.
Ethical leadership is characterised by qualities such as integrity, honesty, trustworthiness, approachability, and fairness.

Leaders often face ethical dilemmas when they must choose between two equally right or two equally wrong options.
Truth Versus Loyalty: Choosing between truth and loyalty.
Justice Versus Mercy: Deciding between giving what is deserved and giving another chance.
Self Versus Community: Balancing what is good for a smaller group versus the larger group.
Short-Term Versus Long-Term: Deciding between immediate benefits and future benefits.
