- New Year’s resolutions often fail because there’s not an emotionally charged reason driving people to achieve their goals.
- Saying “I want to fit into my skinny jeans again” isn’t enough when you’re in a bad mood and don’t want to go to the gym or eat healthy.
- If instead, you focus on something like losing weight to spend more time with your kids or reduce the risk of a serious health issue, you’ll be much more likely to succeed in the long term.
13:26- What would you say are some of the key pillars of a sustainable wellness journey?
- One of the most important pieces of the puzzle is embracing constant change, which is central to my work.
- The way I achieve wellness now is drastically different from what I did 10 years ago, and instead of getting stuck, I make adjustments as my goals change.
- If people allow themselves to be objective, they can embrace the changes that are coming and be open to trying new things.
