Overview
It is often said, “Never depend on a single source of income.” But one needs efficient time management, planning and vision along with the talent to develop and maintain the multiple sources. What are the key things one needs to look at before venturing into partnership is crucial! Today, we have with us Brian J Esposito who handles and holds investments in sectors ranging from hospitality to medicine to food to construction and what not!
[00:34] – About Brian J Esposito
- Brian is the founder and CEO of Esposito Intellectual Enterprises, LLC.
- He is an award-winning serial entrepreneur and business leader.
- Brian is also a core part of the innovative team to build Nodle, the world’s largest wireless network.
[07:40] – How do you manage such a diverse portfolio, from technology to security to banking?
- My mind world better with more. So, the more dots that I have to connect, the more opportunities and success I can create.
- A lot of people do one thing and are great at it, but at times when the world doesn’t want that one thing, they find themselves in an awful situation.
- The tricky part is that I am always the glue of identifying what’s the play, when is the right time to go after the plan, and who are the right companies and parties to deal with.
- You can only do that with the right mentality. I turn down more businesses than I take because if I’m not aligned with the CEOs or senior management, our morals and ethics, and the way that I operate, then the opportunity is not worth it.
[09:47] – How do you define the word, “good”, when you say you want to work with good people?
- My definition is that money is the by-product of good people doing good work.
- If you’re going into a potential relationship with me, and you are only talking about money or have the materialistic mindset, I am not getting involved.
- Money comes secondary to going after the opportunity, doing it correctly, and the reward is money. The reward is supposed to fuel that business to continue to grow. Further, it’s supposed to help protect the investors, and the employees, and it is supposed to build the business.
- It can go to fuel a certain lifestyle, but that is not how I am wired.
- I need to see people with empathy. I need to see people that understand that their decisions have consequences.
[12:10] – How will the metaverse change the lives of people?
- The majority of the world doesn’t understand what metaverse is.
- My suggestions with our own brands and companies that I work with is you got to hit the brakes, take the time and do it correctly.
- These NFTs, crypto, and metaverse communities are very smart people. They can be very emotional when it comes to the projects and companies that they support.
- In the metaverse, you don’t want the large communities to blacklist you in real life and say they are not buying your clothes or eating food at your restaurants.
- The loop I see in the metaverse is another medium to give engagement, build community and give experiences to people that want to know what your brand or piece of IP is all about.
- It has to go back to real life. There has to be some call to action.
- You cannot live in the VR, in the metaverse, and survive 24 hours a day.
- I have been looking at the metaverse movement as what happened when social media started.
- It is another medium for connectivity and engagement.
- It is going to take time for adoption. The talent in enterprises and small companies, do not have the right skill set and people to bring their brand into the metaverse.
- It is going to be a powerful medium in the future, and a lot of great things are going to come from it.
