- It is noteworthy that the first known author and poet emerged from Mesopotamia, an ancient region in present-day Iraq. Her name was Enheduanna, a prominent figure.
- However, the patriarchal society and its demands often limit women’s participation in literature, causing some to abandon their roles.
- Consequently, women must persistently fight for their rightful place and opportunities, including access to education.
