- The key success factor is innovation and doing things that other people haven’t done.
- HTC has essentially been the first company from making a smartphone to make, touch screen phones, 3G, 4G, and 5G phones.
- It is the first company to create spatial VR devices that allow you to walk around the entire room.
- In every space, be it in the telecom or VR world, we have always been a company that has created the first-to-market.
[12:17] – Please explain the concept of multiple metaverses.
- Largely, people don’t know what to call metaverse. They usually label virtual worlds or virtual games as the metaverse.
- Just like at the beginning of the Internet, we had Prodigy and CompuServe, wall gardens that were labelled as the internet. Over time, they went away and were replaced by open interoperable internet.
- That is the road we are currently at. A lot of these are virtual worlds and not metaverse. No company should own a metaverse, just like no company owns the internet.
