08:11- How do you balance the aesthetic and functional aspects of a project while considering environmental sustainability?

  • We started working with clients who had a vision, a larger-scale project, and needed help figuring out how to get it done.
  • We aim to make the project sustainable, impactful, and pragmatic, ensuring that if someone invests, they receive a return.
  • By connecting clients with investors, the business angle and tough questions can help shape and refine the project, sometimes adding new elements the client hadn’t initially considered.

24:10- What do you believe will be some of the key challenges and opportunities for architects in the next few years?

  • Architects should not shy away from big questions and challenges, as we’ve lost ground as a profession by not taking them on.
  • Our turf is shrinking, focusing mostly on aesthetics and design, but it’s crucial to marry that with problem-solving, economic impact, and sustainability.
  • Even if you don’t know the answer fully, trust your passion and ability to visualize solutions that can benefit the world.
