03:28- What are the rules for scrapping cars in India?

  • In the National Capital Region, it is 15 years for petrol and 10 years for diesel.
  • Many people do not realize this rule was made by the National Green Tribunal, which is set up to ensure pollution is under check.
  • All over India outside NCR, it is 20 years for petrol and 15 years for diesel.
