01:50- What were some inflection points in your life that shaped you?

  • I believe in the power of a story. I am a first-generation college student in my family, and it has made a huge impact on me.
  • I also happened to get in touch with my mentor in college, and she has been a guide for me letting me see the potential in myself even when I couldn’t see it myself.
  • The third inflection point would be when I became a mother. I came to know that being a mother was much more meaningful to me than the work that I was doing.

13:56- How has your career progressed?

  • I was not a straight-A student and my undergraduate major was psychology and I had no idea what to do with it.
  • I went on to do my master’s in psychology and learned a lot about emotional well-being and human behavior.
  • After that, I went on to be the director of the human rights office for the city government.

36:53- Are you thinking about integrating AI into your service?

  • We don’t know exactly how we are going to do that but there have been several conversations among us in the past few months about using AI.
  • One of the opportunities of AI is that it can help us make more objective decisions.
  • One example of the usage of AI would be to review the numerous policies that have to be reviewed by employees right now.
