In this very interesting episode of The Brand Called You, we bring you Andy Chen, President of IEEE Technology and Engineering Management Society. Andy is also the Founding Managing Partner of REDDS Capital and the President and CEO of Catronic Enterprise. Andy talks to us about all the things related to energy. He shares the key moments in his life. Getting diagnosed with scoliosis and moving to the States was one of them. Andy has worked at Ontario Power Generation(OPG) and he shares his knowledge of energy production with us. Andy tells us that the usage of nuclear energy is a political decision. He shares that France and Russia are the most nuclear-friendly countries. Although a safer energy option, people are tending towards more sustainable energy sources these days because of the environmental impact of non-renewable energy sources. Andy also shares his views on renewable sources of energy, like solar power and he informs us that nothing is absolutely safe for our environment, since the land used for solar energy production cannot be used for agriculture. Andy also talks about the surplus energy produced by a few countries which are being wasted due to the lack of storage units and tells us how this can be tackled. He shares how energy is not costly itself but the management cost is high.
