As a woman, oftentimes, one faces several life-impacting incidents that hamper our personality and our attitude towards life. The stigma around talking about things like molestation, postnatal depression, choice of becoming a mother, abortion etc. leave many women in distress who, then in the due course of life, fail to unleash their full potential. In today’s episode, we have a very brave lady, Lilian Ong, who openly talks about her personal challenges and is helping the women to come together and share their problems.

[08:19] – What made you take the extra step of helping all the women out there?
- Initially, I didn’t intend to. I took steps for me and my children.
- As I stepped out of my comfort zone to re-discover myself, I gradually started sharing it with close friends, and it started to attract other ladies.
- I started discussing my challenges on a one-to-one basis, and more mothers started to come up and ask for advice.
- It was an organic process and I started to organize the meetups.
- It was a big step as in our culture, it is considered weak to admit that you are going through certain challenges.
