A lot of organizations work towards some purpose and those who don’t, deviate from their paths or had no path, to begin with. There are also different types of cultures inside the organizations which either align with their employees or they don’t. Today we have with us Xavier to tell us how we can develop good values and find organizations with values that align with ours.

03:47- Do you think you were always a businessman, or you became one?

  • I think there are different parts of our personality that we have. One is personal and the other is business.
  • At some point, the mix of personalities that we have collided with each other, and we have to learn to keep them separate at some point.
  • On the same hand, I believe in the inclusivity of our different personalities and also other races, religions, etc., and have empathy for all.

11:47- Do you think you can know the values of an organization beforehand?

  • Sometimes organizations have certain values which are like five-six words, and they imprint them on their brochure.
  • Some organizations let their employees give feedback on their websites, so you can read those and get an idea about their values.
  • What I believe is that we can actually know about the values by looking for minute details and interacting with the people that are already working there.

21:57- Where do you draw your inspiration from?

  • My first role model was my granddad who was like a resistance in the face of adversity. He had gone through a lot himself, but he always helped other people.
  • My second role model was my dad. He was a very busy person, and he was always traveling a lot, but he always took time for his family.
  • Lastly, I admire my wife, she has this gift of connecting with everybody. She has shown me how to connect with people on a personal level.
