12:18-About your books.

  • A Turn of Events is a collection of fourteen short stories that will take you into the world of Indian migrants to Australia. Each story explores a different aspect of Indian culture in Australia, and the characters expose the social, cultural, financial and psychological issues that this diaspora is often confronted with. These are tales of daily life woven around racism, domestic violence, murder, ambition, fear, mystery and superstition.
  • Being out the tall tales is reminiscing and regale, pulling us out of the raucous clamour of life to focus on the life moments of their heroes and anti-heroes, recalling childhood terrors, taunts and happiness, recounting adult trials, travails, and triumphs.

13:47- What makes a good story?

  • The opening and the closing make or break a story.
  • The characters should build up quickly so that the audience starts to get involved with them.
  • Every chapter should be a page-turner.

16:10- About a cartoon book, Coronavirus Files.

  • This rib-tickling collection looks at the funny side of the world that is in the grip of a merciless microbe, otherwise known as COVID-19.
  • The cartoons and caricatures underline the fact that even in the direst circumstances, humour is often the only medicine.

19:35- Lessons from the conversation.

  • Do not take success for granted. It does not grow on trees.
  • Do not get swayed by applause or failure.
  • Never stop learning.
