[07:18] – Can you talk about some of the lessons you learned while working with tech-based companies?

  • My first experience was solely for the sake of knowledge and creating value for everyone involved. It was not about money.
  • I brought in the methodology of the convergence of ideas and technology.
  • With time, I realized the significant need for advanced information technology. I started thinking of my career in terms of, how can I bring in more use of the internet and then later AI into the realm of traditional business.
  • I have also realized that I am not the best, but I know how to hire the best people for a business.

[22:03] – How did you get into SysMeta?

  • After resigning as CEO, I opened myself to what is next, not without knowing what is next.
  • I connected with a group, that now is co-founders of my company, Ladders on Purpose. It works with CEOs, executive leaders, and governments across the world to facilitate purpose-driven leadership and best practices on how to operate and implement balance for the environment, the welfare of employees and consumers, and move beyond a profit first model.
  • They brought me to SysMeta. My partner’s vision of technology and AI to support the sustainable transition that companies and governments are challenged with doing led us here.
  • SysMeta was born out of a partnership between ladders on purpose and my partner, Manuel Magalhaes.
