00:59- What kind of companies are you operating currently?
- Currently, I am focused on my marketing consulting business, which has been my core business since 1997.
- Traditionally I was very involved in the direct marketing space, but over the years that’s evolved, and so I’ve also learned along the way.
- I’m also very actively helping growth-stage startup companies, either by investing or advising.

- I do come in as an extension of the founding team when they are at that sweet spot. We’ve got the validation, we’ve
- got product-market fit early on where do we go from here, and how do we scale, keeping an eye on whether it’s revenue growth or geographic growth balancing.
- I come in more from a strategic consulting standpoint and then help them execute, if they have their own team then that works.
09:38- Challenges of a woman entrepreneur
- Not even talking about the statistics, we all know that venture funding for women-led businesses is less than two percent and the pandemic has become worse.
13:28- Why are women underrepresented?
- It’s just lack of exposure, whether it’s at an individual level while you’re growing up, access to that exposure wasn’t available early on.
- The next step is the lack of execution.
16:10- Advice to young women who are entering the world of business or corporate
- My thing is show up. It’s been my personal mantra.
- Showing up for the right reasons, when you’ve committed to something.
- A lot of people fail to show up, and it could be a small gathering, it could be a large convention, it could be a networking event, it could be an investment opportunity.
21:06- What has been the most memorable advice that you got?
- Measure the worth of a person by how they treat someone who can do nothing for them.
- Charity to the deserving.
