[04:29] – How do you help your clients align their brand messaging with their core values?

  • My definition of the word, “identity” is divided into two parts: ID + entity.
  • ID is about who you are, what you stand for and how you do things.
  • The entity part of identity is about the business, who your customers are and how you deliver value to them. 
  • You need to blend both parts in branding.
  • When there is a disconnect between your values and what you are doing, we end up in problems.  

[15:35] – How important are customer feedback and market research in shaping marketing strategy?

  • Customer feedback is the ultimate litmus test to check whether your product is performing or not. 
  • People think that there is no need for market research because of the available information.
  • But we need to look at market research to understand the market that is currently not our customer base. 

[19:58] – Three lessons for the audience.

  • Think about if you are solving a problem.
  • Develop the core skills: creativity, communication, collaboration, critical thinking, adaptability and resilience. 
  • Don’t become an entrepreneur if financial valuation is your primary driver.
