  • Affinity began operations after acquiring a microfinance business in Ghana in February 2020 then receiving its license upgrade from the Bank of Ghana in March 2022, the first grant of its category in almost a decade.

  • Gender- Women need physical touchpoints to bank. They don’t take risks. 90% of clients of digital-only financial institutions were men.

  • Cash is expensive. 
  • It creates fraud. 
  • The bricks and mortar element has reduced.
