02:45- What are some initial challenges you faced as an entrepreneur?
- A major initial challenge was regulation. 10 years ago drones were unfamiliar and we had to navigate a lack of awareness and precedent.
- We learned the difficulties of bootstrapping a business from scratch in a cash-strapped environment – growing from a dorm room to 100 employees.
- It took time to pivot and experiment before we found a strong product-market fit to create exponential value and revenue.
11:03- How do you collaborate with sports organisations to ensure that technology enhances rather than distracts from the game?
- Technology mustn’t distract from the integrity and storytelling of sports – we work closely with producers as custodians to maintain what matters.
- With experience in a sport over the years, we intuitively understand the narrative flow to seamlessly fit new tech into what producers and commentators need.
- When entering a new sport, we take time to deeply understand the visualization process before building tech so we add value without being overly distracting.
