08:39 – What change are you trying to bring in their thinking when you engage with investors?

  • My entire thesis is about going nondiscretionary in your investment approach.
  • It is about making a rule-based investment versus a discretionary research-based investment where you could go right, or you could go wrong.
  • You could get the best research done but yet not get the results. So the whole idea is to reduce the pain with the help of systematic rule-based investing instead of intuition based investing.

  • There were many failures along the way, but there was one family crisis when his father got cancer, and he was in the hospital with him for four or five years. That taught him the most in his life.
  • On seeing people of all age groups in the hospitals, he learned that you must be aware of what you are doing and not just keep on running your life blindly.
  • He was visiting hospitals and courts and felt there was too much negative energy out there, so he just took a step back and wanted to have a peaceful life for himself.
