Mexico has seen a lot as a country. They have gone through dictatorship, and they have seen cartels influence the governance of their country. They have faced the problem of drugs in their country. They still did not lose hope and are now a democratic country. Today we have with us President Vincente Fox to tell us more about the past, present, and future of Mexico.

04:52- Can you tell us about some of your accomplishments that you are proud of?
- The very first would be winning the presidency considering where I come from.
- I am very proud that I broke the low democratic way of running Mexico and decentralized power.
- I was very close to the poor, so I developed a health plan in Mexico called Seguro Popular through which we gave everyone access to doctors and medicines.
- I also led Mexico to become very competitive economically by making it very attractive for automobile manufacturers to manufacture in Mexico.
15:22- Do you think the Mexican Economy is dependent on the US?
- On one side we have a very huge market in the US in which we have captured only about 25-30%, so we have a lot of scopes there.
- The largest manufacturer in Korea, which is Kia, just opened its manufacturing unit in Mexico.
- Other Indian and Chinese companies are also participating in our growth because we have very effective and competitive labor.
30:00- Can you talk a little bit about your post-presidential work?
- I believe that the search for happiness is endless, which led me to get into NGOs and nonprofits so that we could give as much as we can.
- We built Central Park which is the first presidential library in Mexico.
- We teach kids that they are not born to get into cartels or migrate to the US. We teach them that they are born to do great things with their lives and that they have control over what they do in their lives.
