  • I want people who have demonstrated resilience in their careers.
  • I want people who have demonstrated gratitude.
  • I want people who have demonstrated empathy.
  • I want people who have demonstrated accountability in their life and career.
  • The ability to communicate with employee base and be transparent and open.

[09:10] Scaling up an existing business and Building or scaling up a new business

  • If you’re in the process of doing a startup, it would be nice to have people who understand how a startup moves.
  • Understand that in a startup environment, you’re going to be asked to do everything.
  • In the early days of the startup, you have to have really tough skin.
  • In a company that might be established, the foundation is placed, it’s now asking how can you scale up beyond the foundation.

Most companies fail not because they do the wrong thing, they fail because they did the right thing for too long.
