[03:52] – Tell me about your book. What were your hypotheses?

• When we plan for the future, we typically look at trends like demographics and markets.
• What we fail to do repeatedly is ask what happens when these things collide in the deep ocean.
• You can see these 120-foot tall walls of water that pop up out of nowhere. They’re called rogue waves when individually manageable waves of change you know collide. The same thing happens in business and life.
• The question that we need to ask as business leaders is instead of how do we avoid these and how do we hide from to how do we take advantage of them because it turns out that companies that are set up to take advantage of them have higher chances of growth.

[15:58] – Can you talk about collaboration and partnerships between businesses to tackle shared challenges?

• What we are talking about is the beginning of that we are going to see two things: businesses that aren’t able to sustain differentiation will have problems in a world of automation, and that we’re going to see things that used to be high skill become low skill.
• There was a ChatGPT hack, and who knows how many times they had to try this for it to work on a video.
• There was a thing the other day when a guy draws a picture of a website that makes a joke and so you can go and ask it to make a punch line or put in a punch line, and then it’ll tell you what the setup is.
• He said he takes a picture of it and then AI tool gives them the code to make the website with all the stuff to make all the jokes. That’s a lot of people’s labor that would have had to go into doing that. 
• All these organizations had to collaborate or would need to collaborate to ensure the success of this endeavor, addressing copyright issues, resolving technology challenges, managing the data center that would host the product, and developing the necessary code for commercializing it in the market. 
• Yet, at the front end right, some guy drew a picture and then had a business. That’s how things are going to increasingly work, that person at the front end who drew that picture didn’t have to understand any of these things.
