00:55- What inspired you to create Utsav, and how did you come up with the concept of a community-led marketplace for faith, devotion, and festivals?
- During the pandemic, I and two other college students in Calcutta noticed the rapid shift towards digitalization.
- Witnessing how even toddlers were attending online yoga classes and my grandmother embracing online shopping, we were amazed by the incredible changes taking place.
- The realization struck us that the traditional Durga Puja festival was at risk due to the pandemic. This deeply saddened us, as it represented a loss of hope and celebration.
- Motivated by our engineering skills and the ability to develop apps and websites, we decided to create an app that would allow Durga Puja committee members to come together, showcase their celebrations, and enable people from around the world to participate and experience the festivities.

- Authenticity has always been at the core of our company’s values and the mindset of our founders.
- From the very beginning, we were committed to providing people with hope, happiness, and the experiences they were missing out on.
- We were determined to achieve this in a legal and widely accepted manner, without attempting to replace or undermine offline traditions.
- Our platform simply enhances accessibility and distribution for a more inclusive experience.
- Our objective was to serve as an additional layer, offering accessibility and convenience.
