  • Joining the water business within Siemens and later transitioning to roles in different companies within the water industry provided a diverse experience.
  • Lessons include realising the need for the industry to simplify and communicate its sustainability goals effectively. 
  • From my IPO experiences to my current role at Acis Vets, I’ve learned the importance of driving impactful change in the water space.
  • The water industry faces the challenge of not being at the forefront of sustainability discussions, unlike the energy sector. 
  • There’s a need to simplify the messaging around water sustainability. 
  • Opportunities lie in unifying the industry’s voice, potentially forming alliances, and creating a compelling narrative to engage the public, government, and private sectors in prioritising water-related issues on a global scale.

[19:12] – How do you envision the role of governments and organisations in addressing water-related challenges?

  • Governments play a crucial role in addressing water challenges, especially with ageing infrastructure. 
  • The challenge is aligning investment priorities with election cycles. 
  • Educating policymakers on the urgent need for infrastructure investments and showcasing the technology’s capabilities is essential. 
  • Public-private partnerships and grants can further support these initiatives, ensuring sustainable and safe water systems globally.

  • Dare to dream big and challenge the status quo. 
  • The world needs innovative solutions, and we must tap into diverse perspectives.
