[17:36] – Did you see becoming India’s tech unicorn?
- There are three phases in every business.
- Establishing product market fit, having enough capital to scale and valuation outcome basis your scale of business.
- These are never linear.
- There came a point where our valuation grew so quickly & we crossed the billion dollars.
- When people invest money in you on these valuations, you have to grow those valuations to return money back to them.
- That has always been a fiduciary responsibility that’s stuck on in my mind and we’ve always been trying to move forward without celebrating the moment.
[21:31] – Please share the transformational lessons from your journey.
- I’m a big believer in disruption and transformation.
- If you embrace the status quo and sit where you are, you will be disrupted because someone will come and do it in a more efficient way.
- In order to embrace disruption, you have to be willing to transform.
- In order to disrupt and transform, you have to embrace a pivot.
- The third lesson is old power vs. new power.
- We’re living in a world of new power where the best ideas come from the lowest ranks within the company.
