04:39- Can you talk about that educational journey?

  • My father pushed me to gain enough knowledge in various fields like music and sports to appreciate them, not just specialize.
  • I took this multi-disciplinary perspective into combining engineering with biology which gave me a novel vantage point in nanoscience beyond a siloed approach.
  • This experience of blending diverse knowledge shapes my current work – solving medical problems requires understanding medicine plus people, society, economics etc rather than just a medical lens.

19:34- Can you describe maybe one of the platforms or products that you were part of creating?

  • I worked on a platform called Annadhanam (food charity in Tamil) to connect NGOs fighting food waste and hunger, allowing them to function individually yet collectively.
  • It started from COVID chaos and communities needing better coordination of existing food resources but transformed into a platform addressing food loss and waste more broadly.
  • This first project grounded me in a deeper sense of purpose than any prior startup experience.
