YPO was launched 75 years ago with the purpose of creating an organization that stands for learning and support. It is an organization where members can connect and reach out to others, regardless of age or position. It currently operates in 128 different countries. Its sole focus is to enhance the capabilities of its members by providing access to other members. Today, we have Sean with us to provide detailed insights about YPO.

05:01- Tell us about how large the YPO has grown today.

• We operate in 128 different countries today, and we are close to 600 chapters now. We’ll cross the 34000 CEO member threshold this year.
• The real essence of YPO is its ability to attract young business leaders that have achieved a certain amount of success.
• Every YPO business touches millions of people daily somewhere in the world in every time zone.

12:43- How difficult is it to manage such a culturally diverse organization?

• You may be surprised at the answer, but it was not that difficult. We train each and every member of the YPO when they join.
• We take them through training for a couple of days which puts everybody on the same playing field.
• The aim of this training is to let everybody level up and come to a neutral ground where they can feel that they belong there.

20:01- How does YPO manage diversity, equity, and inclusion?

• We are not political or advocating any specific religion, so we try to incorporate in the heart of our people that we are here for everybody.
• We are very clear about our mission which is that we are about lifelong learning and helping our community regardless of race, sex, or anything that puts a label on us.
• We have tried to make this the very foundation of our organization that we don’t stand for anything other than our curiosity for learning and helping one another.
