- Areas of focus include building an intersectional DEI strategy, Gender Equity, Social Inclusion, Women in Leadership, Disability, Women’s empowerment, LGBTQ+ equity initiatives, Mental Health and Well-being at workplaces, Belonging and Culture catalyst, in addition to conceptualising and designing DEI change programs.
- With a fundamental belief that “Representation Matters”, I focus on supporting organisations to leverage DEI as a critical business imperative for holistic & transformative change.
- I believe in the pragmatic approach of simplifying diversity by amplifying the voices & lived experiences, potential and capabilities of the under-represented groups and marginalised, oppressed & communities while helping build practical and actionable DEI solutions.
07:44- Things a leader can do to enhance inclusion in their organisation.
- ‘Being Inclusive’ is not a state; it’s a journey fraught with learning and unlearning, some highs and many lows.
- It’s an organisation capability that would require a combined effort by the leadership team, multiple functions and the employees. It is not just one team/function’s responsibility.
- Actions can vary depending on your business model, culture, people dynamics, focus areas and other factors, but at its core is the foundation of equity, empathy, safety and acknowledgement of all.Â
- Inclusion cannot just be about DEI training and sensitisation sessions. It needs to be thought through in every aspect of our workplace.
