- I was born and raised in Japan, the earliest part of my career.
- I had an opportunity to run the Japanese legal entity of a U.S. Silicon Valley company.
- I’m also better equipped to bridge between say a startup and a corporate or between Japan and the rest of the world or between India and the rest of the world.

- In a traditional large corporate environment, people are rewarded for stability, consistency, and execution.
- In startup emerging companies, they are rewarded for imagination and innovation.
07:05- If you were to build a team in one of your startups that is growing fast today, what would you look for in people?
- Agility with a strong sense of ownership
- Independence with a strong sense of collaboration
- The ability to know when it’s time to adapt to a customer or when it’s time to request the customer to adapt to us
